writing about nelson is tough. i thought it would be easy. i guess thats why it took so long for me to post a coment. on behalf of the Poker Crew. Wayne, gary, JC, Gerard, Larry, Adam the fat white guy that catered waynes party in caledon. we all miss him and his 20 dollar buy in with loonies and toonies. no one else was like him and i doubt we can ever replace the friendliest and laziest guy you'd ever call your bestfriend.

So many things remind me of brother everyday...It can be something I eat, smell, see, hear, touch...the memories completely flood my mind, and everything else in the world is drowned out...sometimes the memories cause a flood of chuckles, sometimes a roaring flood of tears...and the ebb doesn't always come quickly...and I often find myself at this website...waiting it out...

While I only had the pleasure of meeting Nelson later in his life, my experience with him only confirmed what I was always told; he was a wonderful, kind hearted and unique individual. We are truly blessed for the short time we had with him on this earth. God bless you my friend, rest your wings.

I cannot get over how appropriate that Nelson is immortalized on the internet. I can’t think of a place he would be happier. Thank you Toni, this is a fantastic place for his friends and family to share their memories of Nelson.

I know that his ADT family misses him greatly. The lasting impression he made here is felt every day. Just yesterday one of the managers said “A dispatcher like Nelson could run the shift with his eyes closed”

Shawn Snihur donated a picture of Nelson working at the old office on Matheson. He had it matted and framed with a the caption “Too well loved to ever be forgotten”. This picture is currently displayed in my office while we find the best place to hang it. I’ll make sure it is close to his favourite spot here…Guard Dispatch.

Nelson was a great friend and great partner to have a Adt. He was a big flirt and miss the talks we had working the night shift together. I will never meet another person as special and as warm as Nelson and i miss him dearly. My thoughts are with his family and his close friends and to say we are all better people to have known Nelson in the short time he was with us.

Hi - me again. No, I'm not using this as my personal blog, just wanted to add how nice it was to see everyone at the Giggling Tomatoes breakfast get together. Friends and family gathered this morning to share some laughs and stories. It was so nice to see everyone smiling. Thanks so much for arranging it Em! Also thanks for all the positive feedback on the site. A few mentioned having photos to add. Please send any photos or comments to tonihelen @ gmail.com (remove the spaces)

Thanks - and I hope you all have a wonderful summer.

Nelson - how can I possibly explain the unexpected void I now feel in my life?

While putting this site together, I've pored through your photos til my eyes were crossed - sometimes smiling, sometimes laughing - or crying - sometimes all at the same time (and you were never convinced I could multitask ;-)

I miss you now just as much as the day I lost you - my dearest and most trustworthy friend. And what I wouldn't give for one more breakfast, one more greasy gourmet Zets meal or Jerk Wing feast. Hell, I'd even appreciate some of your unwanted and usually way off-base advice.

Rest in peace my friend. I'm sure you'll have a lot to say when I see you next (cause really - didn't you ALWAYS have a lot to say?).

Godspeed Nelson - I miss you :-(
